Student Ambassadors
Our student ambassadors take an active role in supporting activities in the school/college calendar:
- Contributing to presentations to learners on visits to schools
- Giving guided tours around college for visiting school groups
- Helping at Open Day events and Open Evenings
- Supporting lecturers in different departments for the delivery of subject taster sessions to S3 and S5 learners for the Aspire North project in November and January, and for the Vocational Pathway Programme Taster evening in February.
We are building a team of student ambassadors to be involved in a variety of initiatives, both in college and in schools. You would not be expected to miss lectures, nor travel on your own to a school. The time commitment can vary depending on the time that your are able to spare.
Being a Student Ambassador will bring you into contact with a range of people from different backgrounds - learners from S2 to S6 from schools throughout the Highlands, lecturers, parents, teachers and your fellow Ambassadors. The role is highly valued and it would be a significant addition to your CV.
If you are reliable and have reasonably good communication skills, enjoy working with young people and are willing to share your knowledge and experience about life as a student, then please complete an application form and send to our Schools Liaison Officer.
