Throughout the academic year, we arrange a number of visits to secondary schools in the Highland area. As part of your PSE programme we would be delighted to arrange a visit or a series of visits to your school, to raise awareness of the wide range of opportunities currently available to S1-S6 pupils. For example, we can arrange a whole year group visit, individual class visits over a few weeks or visits tailored to those who are planning to study locally. We also attend Careers Conventions for Further and Higher Education opportunities. Our student ambassadors volunteer to attend school visits in conjunction with the Schools Liaison Officer, to impart their experience and learning journey from school.

The following outlines the options for you to consider as part of the delivery of the PSE programme.

  • Subject specific talks from Inverness College UHI lecturers
  • The range of Further and Higher education courses (including entry qualifications, course content, progression routes and case studies of former students)
  • Why Higher Education - the benefits and the different options available at Inverness College UHI and the other partner colleges within UHI
  • UHI degree courses delivered at Inverness College UHI
  • Online Highers - blended learning. How does it work and what does the learner achieve?
