Graduation 2011

Hundreds of successful students are celebrating today (30.09.11) following the annual Inverness College UHI Graduation ceremony. 252 graduates attended Eden Court Theatre to receive certificates and awards from the Highlands and Islands' biggest college.

Having worked extremely hard to achieve their qualifications, over 500 proud family members and friends watched on as the students were presented with certificates from HNC to PhD. The audience was addressed by television presenter and UNICEF ambassador Zoe Salmon, who is best known as a former member of the presenting team on BBC show Blue Peter.

Joining Zoe Salmon on stage to acknowledge the many and varied achievements of the students was John Spencer, Principal of Inverness College UHI.

The Principal commented: “This is a very special occasion for our students to enjoy their success, and to celebrate with their family and friends. Each of them made a commitment to higher education and improving their prospects, and this is to be applauded. All of our students should be extremely proud of their achievements and, on behalf of Inverness College and the University of the Highlands and Islands, I would like to wish them every success in the future.”
