Equality Schemes
The College has three equality schemes. Under these schemes, Inverness College UHI will seek to:

Inverness College UHI Services
The college will provide:

  • A prompt and courteous response to enquiries including updating information for when enquiries which cannot be resolved immediately
  • Information, advice and guidance on opportunities, college facilities and funding arrangements
  • An efficient application process with prompt notification of progress and outcome
  • Opportunities to visit college before starting to study
  • Opportunities to evaluate services with clear procedures for complaints.

For students the college will provide:

  • Suitable induction to the college and the learning programme, including College systems and services, and Health and Safety procedures
  • Ready access to information and guidance on academic, personal and financial matters and career progression
  • Ready access to college’s formal procedures and regulations
  • Learning and teaching resources and learning support at a level appropriate to the learning programme
  • A safe and suitable learning environment for the learning programme
  • Membership of the Students’ Association, with the opportunity to participate in its activities
  • Opportunities to be part of the organisation of the college through representation on course teams and College committees
  • Active implementation of equal opportunities
  • Respect for each student as an individual
