Fees and funding

Funding your studies can seem daunting but please don’t worry.  We’ve put together some key facts on the various types of funding available depending on the kind of course you’re planning to enrol on.  Our Student Funding Quick Guide provides a useful overview.

For Further Education (FE) courses, such as Highers, SVQ's, NC's the following funds may be able to assist you financially with your studies:

  • Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
  • Bursary Maintenance, Travel and Study Allowance
  • Childcare Fund
  • Discretionary Hardship Fund

For Higher Education (HE) courses, check out the Student Awards Agency for Scotland - SAAS website before you go any further. For Higher Education (HE) courses extra support may be available, depending on your circumstances, from the following funds administered by Inverness College UHI:

  • Childcare Fund
  • Discretionary Hardship Fund
