Highlands and Islands
The Highlands and Islands of Scotland is a vast and diverse area with some of the most outstanding natural beauty in the British Isles. An area that covers half the land mass of Scotland and offers a spectrum of landscapes from high mountains and challenging peaks to rolling hills, golden beaches and lush green islands.

Inverness is the administrative and shopping hub of the Highlands and Islands and acts as a natural gateway to the area. The region's only city with a population of approximately 66,000 it boasts excellent shopping, a variety of pubs and restaurants, 3 nightclubs, a multiplex cinema, an airport, Eden Court Theatre, and many superb sporting facilities.
In addition to the Highland's Capital there is an array of smaller towns within short travelling distance, each offering their own unique characteristics. Dingwall, Nairn, Aviemore, Drumnadrochit and Beauly are just a few in easy reach. Further afield you will find Fort William, Ullapool and Dornoch offering access to watersports, mountaineering, skiing, golf, traditional music, comedy clubs and other sport and leisure pursuits. And let's not forget Nessie!
