Meet the Brèagha Commercial Salon team:

Shelli

Shelli

Shelli completed her SVQ3 in 2018 and successfully applied to join the Bréagha commercial salon team. Shelli had already began carving out her career in Hairdressing after securing a post with a high profile city barber  following her work placement.

Securing her second contract in the Bréagha salon has allowed Shelli to expand her career across men and womens Hairdressing and she has found that she has built a client base from clients she styled while being a student.

Study hasn’t ended for Shelli who is now working towards her SVQ 2 in Barbering.

I enjoyed everything about my courses and it was a great environment to learn where I was surrounded by supportive lecturers, good clients and team mates

Sarah

Sarah

In January 2016 Sarah began her SVQ2 in Hairdressing and completed her SVQ 3 this year. Sarah joined the commercial team in the Bréagha salon.

Sarah enjoyed all aspects of her course but took a special interest in Hair Loss therapy for women and since qualifying, has continued to research this subject. In addition to her regular clients, Sarah has a strong base of repeat customers who come to her on a weekly basis for Hair Loss treatments. Sarah explains:

I’ve experienced some of the issues that woman go through when they discover their hair is thinning. It’s something you can’t fully empathise with unless you’ve experienced it. As well as offering Hair Loss therapy I’m providing a safe environment for people to talk about their hair loss problem as I also understand the client and reassure them that I have experienced similar issues. I think this is why people keep coming back. As well as Hair Loss therapy I also give advice on styling and cutting but some of my clients now need their hair thinned out because their hair count has improved by 40% or more.
