This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in a science-related profession. Using state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, this course provides valuable experience, knowledge and technical skills for working in a science lab environment. There is a strong emphasis on the development of good technical skills through practical work, lectures and case studies.

 

Entry requirements

  • Three passes at National 5 that include at least one science and mathematics or equivalent, or
  • Applied Science Level 5
  • Applications are encouraged from mature applicants who may not have formal qualifications but have skills required to meet the deamnds of the course.
  • Entry is subject to interview.

The programme includes experience of working in a laboratory and the opportunity to study aspects of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics.
