Introduction to Digital Photography

What is special about this course?

Aimed at those with little or no knowledge of digital photography, this 6 week course will start with the very basics, dispelling the myths and busting the jargon. You will cover key camera operations, digital workflows, backing up your work and printing to a digital printer.


Entry requirements


We’ll cover step by step the things you need to know. We support each other through:

  • The exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed and ISO
  • Shooting modes, manual focus and focal points
  • Light – see it, use it, manipulate it
  • Composition – background, foreground, depth of field, leading lines, colour, texture, framing and points of view
  • Editing, Cropping, Sizing and Printing.

The end result is beautiful photographs.
