What is special about this course?

This is a National Certificate Group Awards (NCGA) programme. This course provides a general introduction to the sport and leisure industries and to fitness, health and exercise. It is a nationally recognised programme and is well designed to lead the candidate into employment opportunities or progression onto a wide range of level 6 courses.

Entry requirements

  • Your commitment to sport should be evident from your personal statement however 3 Standard Grades at 3 or above or 3 National 4 at pass is desirable.
  • Involvement with a sports club is desirable
  • You might be asked to attend an interview.

As well as sports performance units, students will learn -

  • basketball
  • volleyball
  • lifesaving
  • badminton

  • personal well-being
  • exercise.
