What is special about this course?
The Customer Service Modern Apprenticeship (SCQF Level 5/6) is developed by Instructus Skills and offers employers the opportunity to select an apprenticeship appropriate to their organisation and sector. The Modern Apprenticeship will develop the skills, knowledge and competencies required to be effective customer skills professionals.
The shift in power from organisations to customers, particularly in terms of customer expectations and loyalty, is now defining the way that organisations engage with customers. Consequently, many employers are putting particular emphasis on the skills of staff that are in direct contact with the customer, recognising that it is they who play a major role in determining the quality of the customer experience.
Candidates must be employed in a customer service environment.
Registration and certification of the qualification is through the awarding body Instructus Skills. Customer service apprentices at this level undertake a wide range of complex tasks in a variety of work contexts. They have a high degree of autonomy and responsibility and may provide some supervisory support. Roles can be gained in public, private and charity/voluntary organisation across all industry sectors.
