What is special about this course?

NC Civil Engineering will provide you with a broad understanding of subjects in the civil engineering sector. It will enable you to gain skills relevant to the sector and support employment opportunities at an early career stage. It is also designed to support progression to SCQF 7 Civil Engineering and Built Environment courses. 

Entry requirements

  • National 5 Maths
  • Other STEM related subjects would be helpful.
  • Relevant work experience will be considered. 

You will be introduced to subjects such as:-

  • Surveying and CAD
  • Materials and Technology
  • Sustainability
  • Maths and Mechanics
  • Health, Safety and Site Work

There will be a project aimed at pulling together these subjects and developing problem solving, group work and communication skills.
