Diploma for Information Security Professionals (Modern Apprenticeship) SCQF Level 6
What is special about this course?
The information Security Modern Apprenticeship is 12 -24 month programme at SCQF level 6 for candidates already in employment. The registration and certification of this qualification is through the awarding body Instructus.
Information and cyber security is an important sector in the modern world. IT security is a business survival issue for companies and organisations across every sector and employers of IT professionals highlight information security and data protection as a critical priority.
This qualification enables the learner to demonstrate both underpinning knowledge and performance evidence of competence.
It is recommended that candidates should have Scottish National Grades 5 (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Experience gained during work placements whilst at school or at out of school clubs in relevant subjects will be useful.
The programme comprises of an SVQ 2 and Core Skills units.

The programme is delivered in partnership with the student, employer and training provider. The SVQ2 will be delivered in the workplace and supported by college assessors.
