What is special about this course?
National 5 Mathematics is a one-year course designed to build on knowledge and understanding carried out at Standard Grade/National 4 level Mathematics so as to lead on to Higher Grade Mathematics. The course still aims to apply the mathematical skills and reasoning developed to problems based on real-life scenarios.
- Standard Grade Mathematics at 3 or above, or
- Pass in National 4 Mathematics, or
- Intermediate 1 Mathematics at B or above

The varied skills, knowledge and discipline that the course can provide will give students a good starting point for further training leading to careers in areas such as scientific research, teaching and nursing.
