Developing the Young Workforce and SCQF

Collage of 3 students

Inverness College UHI is an SCQF ambassador college and uses SCQF level descriptors to describe in plain terms what a learner should be able to do at that particular level.

You can use the SCQF interactive framework to learn more about SCQF levels and their meanings.

Our Schools/College programme offers opportunities for learning at a variety of levels from entry level to SCQF Level 7 in order to prepare young people for further and higher education and employment including apprenticeships. These programmes are crucial for a number of reasons and their relevance to our Developing the Young Workforce agenda far reaching. SCQF describes these benefits for the senior phase.

While applications for programmes are generally closed now until January 2020 you can still see the current offer Schools Prospectus 2019/20 with descriptions of courses which you can cross reference to the interactive SCQF framework above.

We still have places available for some of our Foundation Apprenticeship courses including one year places for pupils in S6 in Business Skills and Healthcare.
