This module is suitable for pupils who have an interest in the construction industry, aiming for a career as a technician, technologist or other construction professional. It is designed to develop your ability to apply the knowledge and skills to solve real or hypothetical building design issues. The gathering, organisation and use of factual and theoretical information should lead to sound conclusions and solutions to design problems.
Entry requirements: A-C grade National 5 Graphic Communication
Mode of delivery: Face to face, Fridays, 11am to 3.30pm.
Duration: Semester 2 only (January to May)
Next steps: HNC Architectural Technology, HNC Built Environment or HNC Civil Engineering with an additional qualification of an A-C grade in Higher Maths. Any prior learning will be recognised on application to the BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology or BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering.
