Degree Module: Creativity is more important than knowledge
This module is part of the BA (Hons) Applied Music degree and aims to allow individuals to study composition, musical theory and notation in a collaborative and interactive way. Complex tasks are set and discussed in a video conference and then individuals work independently and collaboratively to develop creative responses.
Throughout the module, you will study in workshops and through video conferencing. You will look at musical intervention and creative thinking. You will produce short pieces of music and improvisations which demonstrate the four philosophical and theoretical strands of creativity, collaboration, performance and evaluation.
