Degree Module: Introduction to Enterprise and Marketing

This module is designed to enable you to explore the role and importance of small to medium enterprises (SME) in the national and local economy, and to develop an understanding of the theory and practice of marketing in the SME context, and the importance of customer relationship building. You will gain an understanding of market research and environmental scanning and its importance in decision making.
You will also gain an insight into the theories and concepts of services marketing, the importance of developing relationships and a customer-centred focus.
• Students should have passed 2 Highers at C or above
Mode of delivery: Face to face, Monday, 9am to 11am.
Duration: Semester 1 only - September to December
Next steps: HNC Business/ degree level study depending on additional qualifications and experience.
