  • UHI Business Competition

The annual competition run by CREATE inspires, encourages and supports students, staff and the community to come up with a business idea and develop the knowledge, skills and motivation needed to realise their potential through enterprise.

Timeframe: August 2020 – May 2021

Budget: £22,750

  • Tertiary Enterprising Educator

This level 11 online module encourages College Lecturers to develop a critical understanding of the broad area of enterprise in education and through self-reflection and immersive activities consider its value in their professional development and that of their learners.

Timeframe: August 2020 – January 2021.

Budget: £9,000

  • Enterprising Researcher Workshop

This workshop benefits researchers by helping them to personally develop in a way that will ensure their research has impact across communities, policy makers and businesses. This workshop will covers skills and entrepreneurial thinking, intellectual property (IP), the entrepreneurial process, the need for effective leadership, business modelling, customer relationships, presenting your ideas and gaining impact.

Timeframe: January 2021 - June 2021.

Budget: £6,500

  • Scottish Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (SEE)

A three day residential course held in Nairn for UHI staff; lecturers, Curriculum managers or other student facing staff. The Scottish Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Educators' Programme gives opportunities for personal and professional development amongst UHI staff.  SEE supports individuals to become informed, flexible and professional enterprise educators.

Delivery in 20/21 will be a one day training workshop providing a range of tools and resources to make online teaching more effective in developing students enterprise and entrepreneurship skills. There will also be an opportunity to attend a one day conference with keynote speakers and a show case of best practice within UHI enterprise and entrepreneurship teaching.
