About...
The UAL Level 2 Award - Certificate in Photography has been designed to provide an exciting and challenging insightful experience into the Photography and Digital Arts Sector.
Students will learn the fundamentals of camera control, lighting (flashguns/studio) combined with an introduction to elements of post-production and video editing using the Adobe suite to produce exploring creative image making techniques.
Learners will achieve meaningful and impactful fine art photographs that explore different genres of photography and express strong concepts communicating ideas to different audiences.
The programme will include guest speakers and workshops, that will give students a breadth of knowledge of contemporary photography and lens-based media, building on a variety of traditional and alternative approaches to image-making.
Students will gain an insight into the photography industry and gain an awareness of employment opportunities within the local community and further afield.

What next...
Having completed this program, students will achieve a highly competitive portfolio to enter higher education or gain employment as a photographers or digital imaging assistant.
Entry requirements
Students should be working towards, or have achieved, at least one pass at National 4. You should demonstrate a keen interest in this area of work.
