Inverness College has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and engaging individual to join our small ICT team to be the new go-to person for learning technologies within the college. You will be passionate about all things digital, with an awareness of new and emerging technologies and an ability to work collaboratively with others to support them in finding and using the right digital solutions.
Day-to-day you will provide operational advice and support to teaching staff, from recommending a solution or product through to supporting staff in delivery. You will help to design and produce digital learning materials, maintaining a digital learning toolkit you can share with others. You will be responsible for authoring and maintaining online content, including student induction materials, and for helping students in accessing and using digital technologies.
Working with both teaching staff and students, you will have an energy for building strong relationships with others, from colleagues and students to the wider education sector. You will be based at the new Inverness College UHI campus, working with a suite of state of the art equipment at your disposal such as virtual/ augmented reality; video/ action/ 360 cameras; and audio equipment.
We want you to have an SFFC Level 8 or equivalent qualification, be a strong communicator and have good presentation skills. You will need to be calm and methodical whilst being adaptable to change and new ideas. Your ICT skills should be excellent across a range of digital platforms and technologies.
