Located on the second floor of the main campus building, the library and learning resource centre (LRC) offer you access to a wide range of resources to support your learning.

The library is a quiet study space, offering 16 study booths and 16 PCs.  It also holds over 30,000 books and journals to support your learning.

The LRC has over 100 PCs and has group study spaces.  Wi-fi is available throughout the library and LRC if you want to bring your own device.  Printing and copying facilities are also available.

Staff are on hand to provide support and help you get the best from the resources available to you.

As a member of the university, you also have access to thousands of online journals, collections and ebooks.  You can also access resources from other UHI College Libraries, and the British Library.

If you are a member of the public and would like to use our Llbrary, you can join as an external borrower.  To do so, please bring along a form of ID such as your passport, driving licence or a utility bill.

If you are a student of another university, you can become a SCONUL borrower.  Please visit for further information.

Staff and students can access the library and LRC during normal opening hours. A small library is also available at the Scottish School of Forestry during normal opening hours.

At weekends, students have access to the nearby Centre for Health Science library, which is open 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. The specialist healthy library includes study space, a quiet room and access to PCs.
