Why choose psychology?

According to the British Psychological Society, psychology is the “scientific study of human mind and behaviour: how we think, feel, act and interact individually and in groups”.

The study of Psychology is very diverse and explores a range of different topics. It helps you understand yourself – your knowledge of psychology and behaviours, can help you work more successfully in high-pressure environments. It can also help you understand others and foster better relationships in the workplace.

Psychology cultivates investigative and critical thinking skills, research, teamwork and communication – all valued by employers In a wide range of roles across the sectors, from psychologist and counselling to roles working in sport and education.

Our Psychology degree is fully accredited by the British Psychological Society, allowing graduates who complete with at least second-class honours to achieve Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC). This is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.
