Anne-Marie Wyeth, Supported Education Lecturer and Course Leader for Skillsbuilder for Schools - National 1 & Skillsbuilder 2 Part-time
Anne-Marie has been teaching students with profound and moderate learning difficulties and disabilities since 2009. Her career began with a PGCE in Teaching, and lectured at a Mencap residential College in North Wales, followed by a position teaching Creative Writing at Cantraybridge College. During lockdown, she studied and was awarded a Masters In Education, specialising in Special Educational Needs from The University of Exeter.
Originally from Dorset, Anne-Marie has also worked as a Broadcast Journalist for the BBC and got to meet Prince Charles and interview a very young, up and coming chef called Jamie Oliver!
Her proudest moments at UHI Inverness (so far) have included supporting students on successful enterprise projects such as a pop-up Christmas shop at Eastgate Shopping Centre, fundraising for BBC Children in Need during a YouTube live Danceathon and bringing back a special graduation/ certificate ceremony for all Skillsbuilder students, their families and friends in 2024 - the first time in four years.
She can be found cheering on her son's football team at Bught Park most weekends and walking Bernie, her Miniature Schnauzer.
