What is special about this course?

This 18 week course is designed to give candidates an insight into the various employment opportunities within the uniformed and emergency services, and to prepare them for the full range of army entrance tests, including core skills and fitness. Graduates from this course have continued to further study, e.g. NQ and employment in related fields.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for applicants.

Entry is at the discretion of the course team and you might be required to attend an interview.

  • orienteering and map reading

    Successful completion of the course can lead to progression to a variety of programmes within the college, such as NQ Outdoor Pursuits, NC Sport and Fitness.

    Some candidates continue to employment in related fields. In particular, a high proportion of students on this course successfully gain entry into the Army.
