We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be an exciting and informative event.

The submission of abstracts

The submission of abstracts is now closed. Thank you to the many of you who sent abstracts for consideration – the Scientific Committee is now assessing them and will be in touch in May. The authors of those presentations that are approved will then be invited to register. Presentations that focus primarily on scientific research and innovation (for example in the fields of biology, ecology, environmental science, sociology, veterinary studies, conservation biology etc.) and significant advances in management and policy, are being prioritised.

Attendance Update

We have received an exceptionally high number of proposed presentations, and hundreds of individuals have joined our mailing list. We are thrilled by the level of interest in the event!

Due to limited venue capacity, we are currently prioritising attendance for those who submitted a presentation proposal and have been selected by the Scientific Committee.

We appreciate your enthusiasm and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Beavers Across Britain Conference 2026 - Science, Practice and Policy

As mentioned above, the 10th International Beaver Symposium (2025) will primarily focus on scientific research and innovation, highlighting significant advances in management and policy related to beavers.

For those based in Britain, we would also like to highlight a second event: a national beaver conference organised by the Beaver Trust, taking place in Newcastle upon Tyne, 20 – 21 May 2026.
Registration for this event will open in autumn 2025, but you can note your interest by emailing the organisers at conference2026@beavertrust.org

This UK-focused conference will explore a range of practitioner topics and the practical realities of beaver restoration, making it particularly valuable for those managing or considering beaver projects across Britain. Alongside the latest updates in science and policy, the event will cover hands-on management strategies and real-world applications, as efforts continue to integrate beavers into the landscape and normalise their presence throughout the country.

The organisers of both events are working together to ensure a complementary approach, offering attendees a broad and coordinated perspective on beaver conservation and management.
