Profile

I am a solicitor, specialising in employment law and discrimination. After working in large commercial law firms for 15 years, I set up my own employment law and HR consultancy in 2015. I advise clients on all aspects of employment law and discrimination, including: recruitment; drafting contracts, policies and procedures; managing employee relations; providing staff training and employment tribunal representation. I am also a mediator, trained through the Scottish Mediation Network.
I have been teaching part-time at UHI Inverness and across the UHI network for more than 10 years and have delivered various modules and programmes in law and human resources.

Modules Taught

I am currently module leader and tutor for the Employment Law and Employee Relations modules on the UHI Management School MSc programme and the Employment Law in an HR Context module on the BAH programme. I am also Programme Leader and tutor on the CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice.

Enrolled as a solicitor and notary public with the Law Society of Scotland.
Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Distinguished Toastmaster.
