Lorraine Wormald, HNC Hospitality Operations

The celebration ceremony marked the end of an era for Lorraine Wormald (20) from Dingwall who has spent several years progressing through the cookery and hospitality levels at UHI Inverness.

Lorraine said: “My time at UHI Inverness has opened new opportunities for me in the hospitality industry. My long-term goal is to open my own restaurant and become the best chef I can. I can’t thank the college enough for all the help and support I have received over the last seven years.”

She started studying as a senior phase student from Dingwall Academy, then completed the levels in Professional Cookery and moved on to the HNC Hospitality Operations while gaining experience working in various hotels.

“I enjoyed my time at the college as I was very passionate about the course, which made it enjoyable to learn new skills. Over the years I had the same lecturers which made it fun and enjoyable as they already knew me and what I was good at and what I needed help with.”
