What is special about this course?

If you’d like to work in a hotel or restaurant, then this course will give you the skills to hit the ground running. You will gain confidence from working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service.  

Entry requirements

  • There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, your personal statement should reflect your passion for this subject. A genuine interest will be assessed through group interview discussions with the applicant;
  • All candidates will be invited to the campus to discuss the course content and expectations for success. All will be offered a tour of the facilities;
  • School leavers: 4 National 4s.

This course will provide you with practical experience in the College kitchen and Sheiling training restaurant, finishing with an end-of-year event to showcase your talents to invited guests.   

You will have the chance to:

  • Participate in real functions, such as events or dinners.
  • Visit event venues, hotels and restaurants.
  • Hear top tips on how to get ahead in hospitality from leading employers and venue owners.
