Applications of Mathematics Higher

What is special about this course?

The Higher Application of Mathematics course covers the topics of Finance, Statistics, mathematical modelling and uses R Software for statistical analysis.  This combination makes the Higher quite unique and applicable to people seeking employment in a range of industries.

The statistics and mathematical modelling lends itself to Science, Business and Engineering applications.

This course is now recognised as an optional entry qualification across degree programmes.  The use of R in Digital Health data manipulation across the NHS and other Healthcare sectors in addition to Environmental science, Bioscience and research makes this programme a stepping-stone for people wanting to get started with R prior to undergraduate study.
