The Higher Biology course provides a broad-based, integrated study of a wide range of biological topics and builds on concepts developed in National 5 courses.

- Intermediate 2 Biology pass, or
- National 5 Biology pass
The course investigates what makes biology an important and fundamental area of science and provides a general basis for further study or employment in areas related to biology.

What can I do on completion of my course?
Entry to many undergraduate courses (not necessarily related to the biological sciences) at universities and institutes of further and higher education.
At UHI Inverness there is scope for progression to HNC Applied Science, BSc Bioscience or BSc Environmental Science.
