What our students, graduates and staff say
"I play my small part in the course, but it's the client group of students that take ownership for the course. It's so rewarding to see the progress the students make in such a short time. This is a life changing course and prepares the students for their future careers."
Rab Boyd, programme leader and ex Sergeant Major
“My dad was in the RAF and we travelled all over with him, so I’d always been interested in joining the military. Preparation for the Uniformed and Emergency Services programme was a perfect opportunity to see whether it was the right career for me. I really enjoyed the course. It gave me the best grounding to improve my fitness levels and to find out more about the options available across the uniformed and emergency services through talks and visits," - Meghane Griffiths, who successfully passed her fitness assessments and joined The British Army’s Royal Logistic Corps as an ammunitions technician in May 2019. “The course definitely prepared me – it got my fitness levels up and my confidence levels. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but this course opened up my mind to different possibilities. Even if you’re not sure if the uniformed or emergency services are for you, it was the perfect platform to improve my fitness to prepare me for the next step.”
