Centre for Living Sustainability

content

The UHI Centre for Living Sustainability aims to amplify the voices of marginalised people in communities across the Highlands and Islands and internationally. It takes an interdisciplinary and creative approach to research and innovation to understand complexity, change and uncertainty. Now and in the future, the sustainability of communities is important in navigating social, environmental, and economic challenges and contributing to transformational change.

Our vision

We will be nationally and internationally recognised for impactful, interdisciplinary research and teaching in biodiversity, ecology, sustainability, culture, equity, and social justice that informs innovative tertiary education. This will deliver on sustainably development goals which address the biodiversity and climate emergencies and empower communities across our region.
