Masters by Research (MRes) scholarships

UHI Inverness is offering eight funded scholarships for the following Masters by Research (MRes) programmes:

Courses are based at the Institute for Biodiversity and Freshwater Conservation and the Centre for Living Sustainability and are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to achieving sustainable development goals (addressing the biodiversity and climate emergencies and empowering communities).

All courses contain two or three fully taught modules and an extended research project.

The scholarship funding covers tuition fees and a support grant for project related costs such travel and consumables. A stipend is not provided.

Entry requirements:

  • A 2:1 bachelor or honours degree or international equivalent in a subject relevant to the chosen course.
  • Previous relevant work experience to an equivalent level may also be considered.

Application deadline: 31st August 2023.

Course start date: September 2023.
