Some frequently asked questions about graduation.

When is the graduation ceremony?

Friday 4 October 2024, Free North Church, Inverness – there will be 2 ceremonies AM and PM, and you will be invited to only one of these, depending on your curriculum area.

When will I get my invitation?

All awards need to be ratified by UHI or SQA before an invitation can be sent out to eligible graduands. An email will be sent to you by mid-August if you are eligible to attend.

Prior to this you will be sent an email from UHI Records to access your Student Journey portal, and confirm where you will be graduating from (ie UHI Inverness or another UHI partner; or In Absentia) – please complete this form and check/update your contact details as we will send the invitation to the email address we have on record for you.

If you are planning to withdraw from your course early, or are exiting earlier than planned, please ensure that you update your contact details in the Student Journey portal prior to withdrawing/exiting, as your record will be closed when you withdraw, and you will no longer have access to any UHI systems. We will use your alternative contact details (up-to-date personal email address) to send you all the information regarding the ceremony.

Will I be able to graduate if I am continuing my studies?

You are eligible to graduate if:

  • You have successfully completed your studies in an HNC, HND, Degree or Postgraduate qualification;
