Lecturer: Accounting, Economics and Finance

I am the Programme Leader for HNC/D Accounting across the UHI Network. I mostly teach management accounting subjects on the HNC and HND Accounting programmes including Management Accounting using IT, Management Accounting for Decision Making and Management Accounting for Planning and Control. I am the Module Leader for Introduction to Financial Accounting (Level 7), Economics for Business (Level 7), Management Accounting (Level 8) and Professional Skills for Managers (Level 8) on the BA (Hons) Business & Management degree. I supervise Dissertations on both the Business & Management and Accounting & Finance degrees at Level 10 and I teach Research for Business at Level 11.

I hold an HND in Accounting, a 1st Class BA (Hons) Business & Management with a specialisation in Finance degree, a Professional Development Award in Teaching Further Education, a PGCert in Teaching Further Education and an MBA with distinction from Heriot Watt University. I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I have worked at UHI Inverness since August 2012 but before this my roles included bar manager, event steward and accounts manager.

My life is ruled by my two Bernese Mountain Dogs, who love to get involved with online meetings and letting students know when the Postie has arrived with their barking.
