Why choose to study the built environment?
Why choose to study the built environment?
Our construction technician progtammes refer to the technical and creative designs and techniques used in the construction of domestic and commercial buildings, infrastructure including bridges and roads, and renewable energy schemes.
In this area of study, students explore topics around designing and building projects which are sustainable, attractive, safe and high quality.
Specifically, they look at how to plan and design projects and how to use technology to create buildings, structures and infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing economy. Students will learn how to survey and model projects to assess feasibility, create concept ideas and designs to solve problems and apply the latest technical solutions to create innovative and sustainable structures.
