What is special about this course?

If you're interested in becoming an electrician, but want to develop your skills and knowledge before progressing to an Electrical Installation Apprenticeship, this course is a great place to start. It is also ideal if your grades are below the advised entry requirements for an Electrical Installation Apprenticeship, or if you'd like to gain practical experience before choosing your next step.

Throughout the course, you'll develop practical and engineering science skills and knowledge to prepare you for an Electrical Installation Apprenticeship or other progression routes. Practical work will help you build the core skills needed for working in an electrical installation environment, while introductory Health and Safety training will prepare you for the requirements of working on site.

As a full-year course, you'll have more time to develop your underpinning maths, science and practical skills, giving you the opportunity to build your confidence and maximise your potential before progressing to your next step.
