Outstanding students recognised at Scottish School of Forestry awards ceremony

The achievements of students at the Scottish School of Forestry have been celebrated at a special campus event.

The team held an awards ceremony at the Balloch campus of UHI Inverness to recognise student achievement and dedication, following a busy open day event which attracted up to 100 applicants and visitors.

The student winners of the Scottish School of Forestry Awards are:

  • Most Motivational Student, Olivia Green, Woodland Skills
  • Group Award, Woodland Skills
  • Most improved Student, Joshua Sharpe
  • Best first-year student, Scott Riddoch, HNC Forestry/BSc Forestry & treescapes Management
  • Tenacity, Adriana Quail, BSc Forestry
  • Best HND Student, Sean Malpas, HND Forestry
  • Best BSc Student, Anta Misina, BSc Forestry

Colleagues were also recognised for their support throughout the year by Neil Cleland, Deputy Curriculum Leader of Forestry, Horticulture and Geography.

A barbecue was held for students, staff, friends and family and musical entertainment was provided by Benny Goodstein on guitar.
