UHI Inverness lecturer announced as new associate professor

UHI Inverness lecturer Dr Lesley Mickel has been awarded the title of Associate Professor of Literature and Drama by UHI Academic Council. 

The associate professor appointments recognise outstanding contributions across teaching, research and leadership in their respective fields.

Dr Mickel provides programme leadership for the BA (Hons) Drama and Production, teaches on the BA (Hons) Literature degree at UHI Inverness and is experienced in working in a tertiary setting.  She co-convenes the UHI Humanities and Arts Research Cluster and promotes multidisciplinary research initiatives across the university.

Her research spans early modern court theatre, creative pedagogy, and drama in health contexts. She supervises postgraduate students and publishes widely, with recent work on performance and monarchy, transmedial storytelling, and teaching in higher education.

Lesley is a Senior Fellow of the HEA and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
