Can reading save the world?

In my research I ask whether reading literature can change the reader’s perception of nature, the environment, and the climate crisis, and whether it can function as activism that enacts real change.  My intention is to expand the role of the humanities in the issues of environmental awareness, uncertainty and anxiety, and climate crisis.
