Creativity in the Classroom project: a CPD guide to support those teaching creative subjects or wishing to develop more ‘creative’ practice in the further and higher education sectors.  Informal discussions among colleagues in the School of Creative Arts at UHI Inverness suggests this would be a very useful resource - particularly for artists from a non-teaching background moving into education. As part of phase one, a survey will be done to precisely establish the challenges of teaching creative arts and bringing creative practice to education more broadly. Creative Arts staff at UHI Inverness have already started to contribute diverse materials such as video essays, blogs, short articles, photographs etc which will be ‘framed’ and edited by Lesley Mickel as she identifies key pedagogical themes and approaches. The UHI tertiary context will explicitly inform structure and content of the Creativity in the Classroom package.  Phase one will be a test bed for the materials collated and investigate the commercial applications for the guide.
