UHI Inverness and UHI North, West and Hebrides are partnered with Highland Council and local secondary schools to provide S4, S5 and S6 pupils greater choice in a variety of subject areas, enabling you to develop a greater range of vocational, practical and academic skills while at school.

At UHI Inverness, you’ll experience a different type of learning environment to school, which will broaden and enrich your education experience, ease the transition from school and help prepare you for entering the world of work, following an apprenticeship or continuing in further or higher education.

Some of our senior phase courses for school pupils are geared towards developing key employability skills while others are designed to expand your awareness of a subject area to help influence your choices in the future. All our senior phase courses for school pupils are designed so you can progress on to full-time study with us.
Our senior phase courses aim to:
- broaden pupils' curriculum choices;
- enrich pupils' educational experiences;
- help pupils to develop knowledge and skills for employment and further study;
- help ease pupils transition from school to further learning or employment.
These courses count as one of your school column choices in S4, S5, and S6 and can be added into your existing school timetable.
