Our courses are designed to match theory with practical experience, so you can put your learning into practice. You get the opportunity to train in our sports hall and gym, using the latest equipment and methods. You will also gain interpersonal skills, such as teamworking, communication, presentation skills and critical thinking - all-important skills, valued by employers, that stimulate innovation and development.

Our lecturers have a wealth of knowledge gained through years of experience in both education and the sport industry.

We have good connections with clubs and sports organisations in and around Inverness. You will gain the knowledge and skills to progress either into the job market or to progress your studies to an honours degree.

Our range of sports courses have grown over the years and now include: Uniformed Services, Sports Coaching, Sports Management and Sports Therapy. These subject areas provide distinctive pathways to meet the requirements of an evolving sport and physical activity industry.

You will gain valuable academic qualifications as well as benefiting from our connections with leading industry organisations through practical experience and placement opportunities with key local agencies and groups including Highlife Highland and Glenmore Lodge - National Outdoor Training Centre. These partnerships enable us to include high quality practical experience, placement opportunities and guest lectures.

With the Cairngorms National Park, Great Glen Way and 282 Munros on our doorstep, students enjoy stunning Highland scenery and access to a number of local facilities and outdoor centres.
