A warm welcome to Supported Education. We offer a range of learning opportunities for students who may require extra support in their learner journey.

Full time and Part time Courses

You may have complex Additional Support Needs (ASN) or Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism or mental health problems. You may be a school leaver, unsure of your next step or looking to return to education after a break in your studies.

Whatever your individual needs, our goal is to help develop your skills, training, and independence, enabling you to lead the life that you want to lead, now and in the future. 

As a Supported Education student at UHI Inverness you will enjoy a variety of course content including key life skills such as budgeting, healthy eating and staying active. Global citizenship and enterprise projects, which promote social and real-world experiences are also part of the curriculum at every level. Employability, training and internal work experience may feature in your course. 

Functional skills are embedded throughout courses. Individual progress and achievements (however big or small) are recognised and celebrated within a supportive, inclusive, small class environment.

Experienced, friendly staff are here to enable and empower you. Learning Assistants are available for each group, allowing for differentiation and high quality, targeted support when required.

Wellbeing

Your mental and emotional health and wellbeing is prioritised and supportive meetings with familiar staff take place weekly. We take the time to get to know you and personalise your college experience.
