I have received a username and temporary password. How do I set up my Student Hub?
Your Student Hub account is your online record for details about your studies. It's also one of the ways we communicate with you about various aspects of college life.
Your Student Hub Account Login/Username and your password are notified to you by a Step 1 email in July when your funding application is available. The email may arrive in your spam folder, so please check.
Firstly, set up multi-factor authentication and reset your temporary password. Visit keeping your password secure to help you ensure your password remains secure.

If you are not a current student or are unable to login to your Student Hub you can:
- Log a fault via UHI service desk
- Email servicedesk@uhi.ac.uk
- Telephone 01463 279150

Sign into your Student Hub. From the Personal Details section, you can enter a new permanent home address or a new local/term-time address.

Your Student ID is available in electronic format. You can download to your phone or device using the app available in the student MyDay portal or via the Student Hub in UHI Records.
Access the Student Hub home page scroll down to find the link (left handside) and follow the on screen instructions.
You should upload a passport style photograph and must:
- Show you on your own, looking straight at the camera
- Be a close-up of your head and shoulders
- Show your full head, without any head covering, unless you wear one for religious or medical reasons
- Have been taken recently
- Be in colour, not black and white
- Be in sharp focus, with a clear difference between your face and the background
- Be taken against a plain cream, plain white or plain light grey background
- Not show you with red eye
- Be taken with your eyes open and clearly visible (no sunglasses or tinted glasses and no hair across your eyes)
- Be free from reflection or glare on your glasses
- Be taken with nothing covering your face
After you have uploaded your photo it must be approved before it will be visible on your ID. This may take several days.

I need a letter to show that I am a student or to apply for Council Tax exemption/discount. Who do I contact?
A Study Status letter and/or Council Tax letter can be found on your Student Hub.
Using the drop-down menu, click on Student Hub then Forms to find the letters. Your approved programme of study and your start and expected end dates, are displayed on the letter. The letter may be used for accommodation, Council Tax reduction or job references.

You will be able to access your Council Tax exemption letter from the Student Hub when you start your course.
