Student inductions are designed to help you prepare for the start of your studies, meet staff and fellow students, and find out everything you need to know before your course begins. You will receive an email in July advising you of your induction details.
Our induction pages will provide you with all the information you need to hit the ground running and understand what to expect from your induction.

When you come onto campus you should connect your personal device(s) to Eduroam WiFi.
Please refer to Service Catalogue - Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) for more information, as some devices require specific settings to connect.
You must have logged into your Student Hub and updated your password before connecting - Eduroam authenticates using your student details.
The IT Helpdesk (in the Learning Resource Centre on the second floor) is open Monday - Friday from 08:30-14:00.

Are there any attendance requirements?
Yes. You must attend all classes as EMA and bursary funding is subject to satisfactory attendance and engagement on the course.
For information about how absences may affect your funding email funding.ic@uhi.ac.uk.
It is recognised that on occasion students may need to have a period of absence and students should follow the absence reporting procedure.

If you have a medical condition that may affect your attendance or any aspect of your learning, please let your lecturer and PDA/PAT know. They will refer you to the learning support team who will work with you to build a Personal Learning Support Plan (PLSP).
