Personal Development Advisors
Personal Development Advisors (PDAs) are your key point of contact when you are a further education (SCQF level 1-6) student with us.
As a team, we work with a range of colleagues to support students across their learning journey. We will assist you from induction until you are ready to start looking for employment or go onto your next course.
We can assist you by:
- Working with other staff to make supportive and inclusive provision to meet your needs.
- Facilitating workshop-based activities during group/face to face contact time.
- Supporting you with your attendance and help you succeed on your course.
- Processing withdrawals where appropriate.
- Assisting you with any tailored support that you may require.
- Making referrals to other support services such as Wellbeing and Learning Support, Student Funding, Digital Skills, Skills Development Scotland and UHI Futures.
- Supporting you to progress onto positive pathways.
- Discussing alternative options if you do not meet the conditions for a course.
