The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a welcoming and inclusive space for reflection, conversation and pastoral support at UHI Inverness. Located in Room 229 on the second floor, near the breakout area outside the lecture theatre, it has been created as a calm and supportive environment for both students and staff.

Open throughout the day, The Sanctuary offers a quiet place to pause, reflect or simply take a break from the demands of study and work. Whether you are looking for a moment of calm, someone to talk to, or support through a difficult time, the space is open to everyone regardless of faith, background or belief.

Our multifaith chaplaincy team provides accessible opportunities for spiritual support, open conversation and pastoral care. Chaplains are available during lunchtime drop-in sessions, offering a welcoming space for reflection, discussion and support on a range of topics, including grief and bereavement.
