Summer Club

Dates:

  • July 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
  • August 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th

Our Summer Club welcomes both new and continuing students who would benefit from enhanced transitional support, including students from extra consideration groups such as neurodivergent, disabled and care experienced. Through this fun and friendly social opportunity, we aim to offer some structure, routine, and regular contact with our wellbeing staff, to reduce feelings of anxiety and isolation prior to participants commencing their college course.

This drop-in club will run every Thursday throughout the summer, 12pm to 2pm, within The Bothy, our student support venue on campus. Every week, it will provide structured wellbeing activities, gaming, arts and crafts and a social opportunity for students.

The aims for the club are:

  • To help foster a sense of community amongst participants.
  • To help foster a sense of belonging to the college campus.
  • To provide structure to participants over the summer holiday break when normal routine is lost.
  • To upskill participants with mental wellbeing self-management skills.
  • To direct participants into additional support services when identified.
  • To signpost participants to community support and social opportunities within the local area.

There's no need to book, just come along to our main UHI Inverness campus and ask for The Bothy at reception.
